What are Essential Oils:
Essential oils are oils that have been extracted from the aromatic compounds of plants. The word “essential” means "from the essence of the plant" and not that it is essential in the basic meaning of the word. These oils have been used in in products ranging from cosmetics and perfumes to flavoring and food additives. However, using essential oils for healing purposes has made a comeback in recent years. Oils can be used aromatically, topically, or internally. There are strict guidelines on how oils are to be used, as some can be dangerous if not applied correctly. Lastly, it’s very important that you look to organic oils to ensure high quality without the probability of pesticide residue in the oil.
